CRGO Transformer Lamination
Transformer core lamination for Power & Distribution transformers is manufactured from various grades of Cold Rolled Grain Oriented ( CRGO ) steel. Lamination in various shapes & sizes are slit and cut to required accurate geometrical shapes with 90° & 45° cutting systems. The manufacturing of Cold Rolled Grain Oriented CRGO Quality Lamination involves a high degree precision engineering.
Toroidal Cores
The manufacturing of strips wound cores is a specialized process, which requires a high degree of precision. These cores are manufactured from selected coils of CRGO electrical steel to yield closely controlled electro-magnetic characteristics and dimensional accuracy. Cores are wound after slitting is done as per the required shape, on the core winding machine.
Testing for mechanical dimensions and electrical values, to issue Test Certificates.
Final inspection for manufacturing tolerances as per IS 3024 as per clients requirement. Checking of core losses on finalised lamination issue test certificates.
Post-Production Packaging Of CRGO Lamination
The CRGO Laminations are packed on the wooden pallets and covered by the water proof hessian cloth duly strapped in order to avoid damage to the core edges.
Application of Cold Rolled Grain Oriented Electrical Steel (CRGO) and Non Cold Rolled Non Grain Oriented Electrical Steel CRNGO.
Grain oriented Electrical Steel CRGO is undoubtedly the most important soft magnetic material in use today. Wheather in small transformer, distribution transformer or in power transformer, grain oriented electrical steel CRGO is a must for the production of energy saving electrical machines.
Grain oriented Electrical Steels are iron-silicon alloys that provide low core loss and high permeability needed for more efficient and economical electrical transformers. CRGO Grain oriented grades of electrical steel are typically used for transformer cores.
Non-oriented Electrical steel CRNGO fully processed steels are iron-silicon alloys with varying silicon contents and have similar magnetic properties in all directions in plan of the sheet. Non-oriented Electrical steel are principally used for motors, generators, alternators, ballasts, small Transformers and a variety of other electromagnetic applications.
